WinLock Window and balcony door lock
Protects children from dangerous falls from windows. In Germany, around 50 children fall from windows or balconies every year and suffer serious or fatal injuries. Often only a few moments are enough: the honk of a car, birds chirping, or children playing outside distract a child's attention. If toddlers are left unsupervised for a short time, they climb onto the windowsill, open the window and in the worst case lose their balance. Affected children are usually aged 1 to 3 years. With the new "WinLock" window safety device from reer, children cannot open the window on their own. It is not screwed or glued on, but is fitted between the handle and the frame in a few simple steps.
Tested as safe for children
Two independent movements prevent children from opening the lock: by pressing the locking button and simultaneously turning the window handle, the safety device can be released.
Simple installation and removal
Practical suction system, no drilling or adhesive
The window and balcony door lock is not only easy to use but also easy to install – without drilling or gluing. It can be fitted between the handle and the frame of the window or balcony door in a few simple steps and removed if necessary without leaving any residue.
Practical to use
Easy for adults to open and close
The reer window lock is very easy for adults to use. First, the side slider is pushed as far as possible. Now the handle can be turned and the slider is released. Once the desired position is reached, it locks automatically.
Can be integrated discreetly into any living environment
Thanks to its compact size and elegant design, the device blends in discreetly and harmoniously with your living space.
Also suitable as protection against getting locked out
How to prevent your child from locking you out on the balcony
Sometimes you do not want the balcony door to close. Especially in summer, there are increasing reports of parents being locked out on the balcony by their small children. The door closes, the little one curiously pulls the handle – and of course can no longer open the door. In a daring move, you then have to climb onto the neighbour's balcony or be rescued by the fire brigade. This can also be prevented with WinLock, because it prevents not only accidental opening but also involuntary closing. So you will never get locked out on the balcony again.
