Medela SpecialNeeds replacement teats, 3 pcs

With the SpecialNeeds replacement teats, you get a total of 3 teats that you can also use with any regular Medela baby bottle. Some of the SpecialNeeds replacement teats can also be used with baby bottles that do not come from Medela. So if you have other baby bottles, you can put the teats on them too. Please note that the SpecialNeeds replacement teats are supplied without bottle and adapter. It is only the teats as such that are supplied.

The SpecialNeeds teats from Medela score particularly well with their special shape: They are made of silicone. Silicone is particularly soft and therefore protects your baby's teeth especially well during feeding. For example, your baby cannot injure its teeth or gums if the plastic is too hard. This is essential for the further development of your baby's teeth.

Basically, the SpecialNeeds teats are attachments that are especially suitable for babies with sucking problems. The teats have a special design that enables your baby to drink from them with a minimum of suction. At the same time, the muscles that are responsible for sucking are stimulated by the SpecialNeeds teats so that they can develop further and ultimately become stronger. Babies with weak sucking ability are therefore well equipped with the SpecialNeeds replacement teats. At the same time, due to their design, the teats from Medela are also perfect for babies with conditions such as cleft lip/jaw/palate or Down's syndrome. The same applies to babies with neurological diseases of various kinds.

The SpecialNeeds teats adapt exactly to the drinking speed of your baby. They are equipped with a one-way valve. This prevents the milk from flowing too quickly out of the baby bottle used with the SpecialNeeds teat, for example. Your baby will therefore not be overtaxed when drinking. If you need to clean the SpecialNeeds teats after use, this is no problem either: You can clean them in the dishwasher without any problems and then use them again directly.
