Description

Lovol-esse is a food supplement with a laxative/purgative action, based on simethicone and macrogol. For Colonoscopy, Intestinal Cleansing, Digestive Health.

The high dose of macrogol in the preparation makes Lovol-esse especially indicated for complete bowel cleansing, particularly for diagnostic tests such as colonoscopy, rectosigmoidoscopy and abdominal ultrasound scans, as well as for other clinical conditions.

Lovol-esse ensures a complete emptying of the bowel.

Removal of solid residue in the large intestine and rectum is essential in preparing for endoscopic, radiological and ultrasound examinations, so that the most accurate result can be achieved.

Macrogol is a substance that, when combined with water, softens fecal matter and facilitates its elimination.

When macrogol solutions are taken orally, they increase the volume of fluid in the intestine.

The volume of unabsorbed fluid determines the laxative properties of the solution.

Simethicone has the physico-chemical ability to reduce surface tension.

This property causes gas bubbles to merge, forming free gas that is easily eliminated.

This eases discomfort in the intestinal tract (pain, cramps, bloating) that accompanies the meteorism caused by high doses of macrogol.

The presence of citric acid, sodium citrate, sodium chloride and potassium chloride aims to prevent disruption of electrolyte balance and acidosis that may result from severe diarrhoea caused by the product.

Food supplements do not replace a balanced diet.

Use

Used before colonoscopy. The method of use is always advised by the doctor and the health centre/clinic where the examination will be performed.

Usually used as follows:

– dissolve the contents of 2 sachets in 1 litre of room-temperature water and drink within 1 hour / 1 hour and a half, preferably 250 ml of suspension every 10-15 minutes.

– proceed in the same way for the other 2 sachets.

Bowel emptying begins approximately 2-3 hours after taking Lovol-esse.

Do not add other ingredients to the formed solution.

The solution should be consumed within 24 hours.

In some cases you may experience abdominal pain and vomiting as a result of using the solution.

It is advised to strictly follow the instructions of the centre where the endoscopic examination is performed, which usually also includes a controlled diet in the days before the examination.
