Iron is an essential mineral that helps transport oxygen throughout the body. Red blood cells get their colour from a substance called haemoglobin, and iron is an important component of that substance. Therefore, iron is important for healthy blood cells that carry oxygen from your lungs and supply it to the rest of your body. Because of its function in oxygen transport, it also supports normal cognitive functions.

It is also important for energy metabolism and may help reduce fatigue.

Advantages of liposomal iron

The advantages of liposomal iron are twofold: one is that iron is absorbed much better into cells. Another major advantage is that, being enclosed in the fatty spheres of liposomes, iron does not affect the stomach or intestinal tract. This prevents common side effects of iron supplementation such as nausea and constipation.

Vitamin C has been added to this formula to improve iron absorption. Vitamin B12 has been added as it is also important for the formation of red blood cells. This product contains active vitamin B12 in it, methylcobalamin.
