Thanks to Policaptil Gel Retard®, Libramed acts in the intestine by forming a highly viscous gel that favours control of blood glucose levels after meals, reducing the amount and speed of carbohydrate absorption (retard effect). It also helps reduce the feeling of hunger and drowsiness after eating. Moreover, through the same mechanism, Policaptil Gel Retard® limits fat absorption, promotes intestinal transit and regulates stool consistency.

INDICATIONS:

Libramed, together with a balanced diet, adequate fluid intake and regular physical activity, is indicated for weight control in adults and children aged 8 years and over, thanks to its mechanism of action.

Directions for use

Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 3 tablets before two main meals

Children aged 8 to 12 years: 2 tablets before two main meals

Take the indicated dose with a full glass of water, taking care to swallow one tablet at a time. Do not chew or break the tablet with your teeth.

For those who have difficulty swallowing, Libramed tablets can be dispersed in warm water or unsweetened tea, stirring until completely dissolved. The drink should be consumed within a few minutes, before the gel forms.

Warnings

For those who have difficulty swallowing, swallowing tablets whole is not advised; they should be dispersed beforehand. It is advised to take the product at least two hours after taking medicines to avoid possible interaction with their absorption.

Do not take during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Persons undergoing pharmacological treatment for diabetes and hyperlipidaemia should consult their doctor to assess the need for a possible change in medication dosage. Do not use in case of individual sensitivity or allergy to one or more ingredients. Store at room temperature, away from heat sources and light. Keep out of reach of children. The expiry date refers to the intact and properly stored product.

The product does not replace a varied diet. Follow a low-calorie diet and regular physical activity. For diets followed for long periods, over three weeks, it is advised to consult a doctor.
