Multi-Guard® Pregnancy is a nutrient-rich formula taken twice daily, made by the Lamber® Technical Department for those who are hoping to conceive, are already pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Official data on the diets of young women in the UK show that some of this population may fall short of certain vitamins and minerals below NRV*. The most common is the high percentage of this shortfall (9 in 10) – diets below the NRV for iron. The importance of this was highlighted in a large study that showed a link between low intake and infertility in humans.

Some B vitamins are also at risk of falling below NRV (which are far from optimal levels). The official Department of Health recommendation on folic acid is important. It is clear that if folic acid is supplemented, other B vitamins appear to be at risk.

Multi-Guard® Pregnancy provides 400µg folic acid recommended by the Department of Health, in a methylated form suited to the body, alongside optimal levels of 21 other vitamins and minerals needed at this important time. It also contains 130 mg choline, which contributes to normal liver function of the fetus and exclusively breastfed infants.
