This product is the most potent bromelain available, providing 1250 GDU (gelatin digestive units) per tablet. This is a measure of how active this naturally sourced enzyme really is, which is why it matters more than the weight of bromelain. Beware of some US imports that overstate the GDU per tablet on the front of the label (for example, 3000GDU is actually 1250GDU).

Bromelain is a protein-digesting enzyme derived from pineapple stem, traditionally used as a digestive aid. However, recent studies have shown that some bromelain can be absorbed and have activity in the body. It is recommended to be taken together with glucosamine.

This product is not recommended for pregnant women or during lactation.

Storage instructions

Store in a closed place, protected from moisture and light.

Usage:

For joint care: 3 tablets (1 between each meal) for one week. After that, a maintenance dose of 1 tablet per day for 3 to 6 months.

For digestive care: 1 tablet before each main meal, up to a maximum of 3 per day.
