Lamberts® Biome Balance Youth is a dairy-free, bacteria-friendly supplement that provides 4 billion live bacteria per capsule (at time of manufacture).

The friendly bacterial strains included in Biome Balance Youth are Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum. These strains have been used in most studies carried out on the gut microbiome.

The bacteria contained in Biome Balance Youth are heat-dried and encapsulated in delayed-release, enteric-coated capsules.

These capsules are made from an acid-resistant polysaccharide matrix, enteric-coated, which ensures the bacteria survive passage through the stomach and supports their successful colonisation of the intestines.

Biome Balance Youth is recommended in situations where the balance between beneficial and harmful bacteria in the gut microbiome is disrupted, such as:• during or after antibiotic use• during travel abroad (traveller's diarrhoea)• in older people• during periods of stress

Directions for use:

Adults and children over 12 years: take 1 to 2 capsules per day or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Take with a glass of water, ideally in the morning when stomach pH is at its highest (i.e. least acidic). Do not take within half an hour of eating or a hot drink, as heat kills the bacteria. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Ingredients:

Bacterial culture (containing Bifidobacterium bifidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus), capsule shell (hypromellose and gellan gum), anti-caking agent (stearic acid).
