FOS (Fructo-oligosaccharides)

FOS (Fructo-oligosaccharides) is a natural soluble fibre that supports gut health. Formerly known as Eliminex, this 100% natural product improves bowel tone, regulates movement and reduces digestive discomfort.

This sweet, soluble powder can be mixed into hot or cold drinks, sprinkled over cereals and desserts, or taken directly from a spoon. It is safe for long-term use, with positive results observed after just 2 weeks. Suitable for all ages, including children and pregnant women, and for vegetarians.

FOS is extracted from chicory roots and acts as a prebiotic, feeding beneficial bacteria in the gut such as Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus. This effectively increases 'live' microorganisms in the gut up to 10 times after two weeks of daily use of 8g.

Allergen Advice

Excludes: Wheat, Barley, Soy, Eggs, Milk (and milk products), Lactose, Nuts, Sulphites and gluten-containing ingredients.

Warning

If initial doses cause excessive gas, reduce the dose and increase gradually. Gas is a positive sign that FOS has reached the intestine. For intake over 10g (or 5g for children), splitting the dose into two daily portions may help reduce gas. FOS may cause temporary bloating. Drink at least 2 litres of fluid per day.
