Removal of solid residues in the large intestine is essential for an accurate diagnosis. Effecol Prep Epsilon Health contains macrogol 3350, an inert substance that is not absorbed in the intestine, does not irritate the mucosa, does not ferment and is removed from the digestive system unchanged. Thanks to its good affinity for water, macrogol 3350 attracts large amounts of water, which softens the stool mass and stimulates normal peristalsis. Simethicone, thanks to its anti-foaming properties, reduces the feeling of bloating in the gastrointestinal tract.

Instructions for use:

For the complete emptying of the bowel, necessary for preparation for certain diagnostic tests (radiological or endoscopic examination of the large intestine, abdominal ultrasound) as well as in other clinical situations, carefully follow the information provided by the centre where the endoscopic examination is carried out.

To prepare the oral suspension immediately, empty the contents of 2 sachets into a 1 litre container of water and shake well to obtain a homogeneous solution. The preparation should be drunk within 1–2 hours: drink 250 ml every 10–15 minutes until you have drunk the first litre.

When finished, drink 500 ml of water (half a litre), so that you have taken a total of 1.5 L (1 litre of preparation and 500 ml of water). After about 1 hour, repeat the process with the other two sachets dissolved in 1 L of water and drink in the same way as described above (1 L of preparation and 500 ml of water). Thus, by the end of the treatment you will have drunk a total volume of several litres of liquid.
