DESCRIPTION

Colpofix ® is a gel with thixotropic properties which, under mechanical compression force, turns into a liquid when applied and returns to gel form after application. The exclusive and ergonomic applicator shape allows uniform and effective distribution of the mucoadhesive preparation directly and deep into the cervico-vaginal mucosa, avoiding spillage.

Colpofix ® contains as functional substances: Polycarbophil and Carboxymethyl beta-glucan. In particular, Colpofix is effective in the proposed indications through several mechanisms of action:

– forms a film that protects the cervico-vaginal mucosa from the harmful action of external microbial agents, thanks to its bioadhesion capacity.

– promotes re-epithelialization and regression of cervical lesions, thanks to control of the physiological conditions of the cervico-vaginal transformation zone through hydration.

– restores and maintains the vaginal microbiota by regulating pH and through a prebiotic effect.

INGREDIENTS

Water, Sorbitol, Carboxymethyl beta-glucan, Cross-linked acrylic polymer (Polycarbophil), Imidazolidinyl urea, Sodium dehydroacetate.

WARNINGS

The colour of the gel may change due to the presence of natural ingredients; this change does not alter the quality of the preparation. The product is for vaginal use. Do not swallow. Do not use without the recommendation of your doctor or pharmacist in case of confirmed or suspected pregnancy or concurrent local pharmacological therapies. The product is not intended for paediatric use. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Prolonged use of the product, as well as of all local products, may cause sensitisation or local irritation; if this occurs, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use if the packaging or applicator is damaged or not completely intact at first opening. Do not use after the expiry date. Use the product in accordance with the instructions for use. The cannula is single-use and must not be reused.

STORAGE

Store in a dry place, away from light and heat. The indicated expiry date refers to the intact and properly stored product.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Do not shake the product before use.

Remove a vaginal applicator from its protective cover. Remove the cap from the spray canister. Place the applicator on the spray nozzle. Start application by pressing the vacuum dispenser button until product appears. Insert the applicator deep into the vagina while lying on your back with knees bent. Perform 5 sprays per application. Discard the applicator after use. Close the spray with the cap.
