Because the Basic Wall-Mounted Safety Gate is screwed firmly to the wall, it does not require a frame (unlike pressure-fit safety gates). The stair gate does not require a bottom bar and thus allows passage without obstacles. This means there is no additional threshold to trip over, making the gate especially suitable for securing the top of stairs. Moreover, full width is preserved, as no pressure-fit side bars are needed to hold it, which would make the passage narrower.

Reliable child-safe gate locking

To prevent small explorers from unlocking a closed gate, the safety gate is equipped with the active-lock system – a double-action mechanism. In other words, two actions must be carried out simultaneously to unlock the safety gate. However, it can be opened quickly by an adult with one hand. Simply press the latch and lift the gate, and the stair gate unlocks.

The safety gate is screwed firmly to the wall. This makes it especially suitable for protection at the top and bottom of stairs, where firm security is particularly important. With its infinitely adjustable width of 65.5–106 cm, the stair gate can be installed in many different places with a wide range of widths without needing extensions. Besides stairs, it can also be used to secure wider doors or passages.

The adjustable 4-point mounting means the gate can be placed easily and securely, even on uneven walls or skirting boards. Each of the four mounting points can be adjusted separately and completely independently of the other three. This ensures safe and reliable installation even on sloped walls.

The Basic Wall-Mounted Safety Gate combines all relevant safety aspects required for safety gates. At a height of 78 cm, and without crossbars that could be used as foot supports, it is extremely difficult for small children to climb over. Its compact, rounded design prevents pinch points across the entire surface of the gate, thus protecting small fingers from being pinched, including in the hinge area. The simple design, which allows error-free mounting, guarantees safety in use, in accordance with standard EN 1930:2011.
