Features:
YT-74971 particle respirators in protection class FFP2 without an exhalation valve. Four-layer design combining an internal working layer, i.e. a filter layer and a separate layer for warm air, so that a minimal amount of moist air is deposited in the respirator, and outer layers that improve comfort of use and the mechanical strength of the respirator. Protection class: FFP2. Quantity per pack: 5 pieces. The four-layer construction combines comfort and durability: skin-friendly layer → warm air layer → filter layer → outer layer with increased tear resistance. YT-74971 respirators have been tested by an accredited EU body and are CE certified under EN 149:2001 + A1:2009. Protective classification: certified respirators protect the respiratory tract from dust, smoke and mist (aerosols), but not from vapour or gas. In some workplaces they may be mandatory for the employee, and the health risks during household work or hobbies, such as wall sanding, woodworking, chimney cleaning, etc., should not be forgotten. The abbreviation FFP stands for Filtering FacePiece, and the number from 1 to 3 that follows determines the level of protection. Both the name and the detailed description of protection levels are set out in the European standard EN 149; in general, a higher number means a higher level of filtration. FFP1 – filters up to 80% of airborne particles down to 0.6 μm in size. Can be used when the NDS* value is not exceeded by more than 4 times. Most often used in the food and construction industries. FFP2 – filters up to 94% of airborne particles down to 0.6 μm in size. Can be used when the PAC value is not exceeded by more than 10 times. Most often used in the metal and mining industries, where harmful aerosols, mists or fumes are present in the air as a matter of routine. FFP3 – filters up to 99% of airborne particles down to 0.6 μm in size. Can be used when the PAC value is not exceeded by more than 30 times. Most often used in the chemical industry. Protects against smoke, aerosol particles as well as radioactive substances, carcinogens and pathogens such as viruses, bacteria and fungal spores. *NDS, or maximum permissible concentration, is a parameter derived from measurements taken at the workplace. It informs the employer about air pollutants resulting from production/work and about possible consequences for workers in the tested room.
