Features:
YT-73097 universal multimeter with TRUE RMS function and a unique design with automatic and manual measuring range selection. This allows you to perform basic and advanced measurements of electrical quantities. The large multi-function LCD in some measuring modes shows two values at the same time, such as voltage and frequency from an electrical socket. The case comes with a red rubber cover with dedicated places for the probes, so the meter does not slip easily from your hands and the risk of damage when dropped is minimized. The modern board design and special software mean not only speed, accuracy and repeatability of readings, but also an increased level of safety, as confirmed by CAT IV certification up to 600V.
BASIC MEASUREMENTS
AC voltage measurement: A.C. 0-750V, TRUE RMS + V.F.C.
DC voltage measurement: D.C. 0-1000V
AC current measurement: A.C. 0-10A
DC TRUE RMS current measurement
Resistance measurement DC: 0-99.99MΩ
Diode test: IF 1mA, UR 3.2Ω
Circuit continuity test 03
Additional measurements:
Capacitance measurement: 0-99.99 mF
Frequency measurement: 0-9.999 MHz
Duty cycle measurement: 1-99%
Temperature measurement: -20 to 1000°C
Non-contact AC voltage detection: NCV
Measurement accuracy
Example of accuracy determination for AC voltage. Measurement result calculation: 235 V
Accuracy of the YT-73097 meter for this range: ±(1.0% + 5), resolution 0.1 V
Error calculation: (measurement result x 1.0%) + 5 x 0.1
Calculation: (235 x 1.0%) + 5 x 0.1 = 2.35 + 0.5 = 2.85 V
Actual result including measurement error for the 235 V reading: 235 ± 2.85 V
Result including measurement error for DC voltage reading: 12 V = 12 ± 0.09 V
Result including measurement error for AC current reading: 8 A = 8 ± 0.5
The accuracy for a specific measurement can be found in the instruction manual.
BUILT-IN FEATURES
TRUE RMS – a meter with this function calculates the true RMS value of AC voltage and current for sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal waveforms. The device first measures the instantaneous signal value at several intervals → the results are squared → summed → the average is calculated → and finally the square root of the average is taken. The result is the true RMS value of the AC voltage/current even for a distorted sine wave or a rectangular waveform.
NCV – non-contact AC voltage detection by the inductive method. The meter detects voltage presence in an insulated wire using the NCV sensor at the front of the device.
LIVE – phase test using one of the probes. Lets you check which hole of an electrical socket has the phase. Insert the probe into the hole; if a phase is detected, the display will show LIVE.
