John Lennon

Born in Liverpool (United Kingdom), although he lived only forty years, John Lennon revolutionized the world of pop music. The Beatles, founded by him in the 1960s, reached the top of the charts as the most successful music group in the world. They echoed the hippie lifestyle that represented an entire generation. John was a musician and composer of outstanding quality, with great sensitivity and a sweet style, who succeeded with both intimate ballads and wild rhythms. After the group disbanded and he was linked with the artist Yoko Ono, he became an icon of pacifism. He died in a paradoxical way, killed by a crazed fan. Whenever we listen to Imagine, we get a strange feeling between nostalgia and hope!
