Tytnia

“Tytnia” is a poetic cycle that once again revisits the old Albanian superstitions that still dictate how our girls should treat our boys. A return from the distant past into today’s fast-moving modernity. So fast that we do not notice the wounds we believe have healed are rotting at the edges. “I have good meat” can no longer be an argument for healing, when the violence inflicted on us has been merciless both toward the intellectual woman and toward the less intellectual one. If these poems “cut” even a little, then the disinfection phase has begun. The time has come to throw away the old oaths and build new ones, with our femininity at the center. And when we say femininity, we mean the human being and the equal distribution of the two energetic genders that together define it. The balance between two forces.
