Tefta Tashko Koço

Tefta Tashko Koço (1910 – 1937), daughter of a patriotic family, was among the first Albanian sopranos who brought operatic music to our country. Together with a group of artists, she laid the foundations of Albanian professional music and at the same time became one of the most distinguished interpreters of our folk song. Her collection of records with her songs is a beautiful testament to her devotion to art and to her people.
