Don Quixote of La Mancha, the ingenious hidalgo (Volume II)

Don Quixote of La Mancha, the ingenious hidalgo, is undoubtedly part of the world's literary canon. It is a typical example of a classic, universal work that has withstood the test of time. Ten years after the publication of Volume I of Don Quixote, written in the last years of Cervantes' life, Volume II was published. This part is partly a response to the publication "Apocryphal Don Quixote" by Alonso Fernández de Avellaneda, which Cervantes ironically mentions in the prologue. In fact, some of the characters who appear in this volume have read the book and know our so famous characters.

Having learned that their exploits have been published, Don Quixote and his faithful squire, Sancho Panza, set out on a new adventure. This second volume focuses on Don Quixote's conflicts with the student Samson Carrasco, the time spent with the Duke and Duchess, and his efforts to disenchant Dulcinea.

This Albanian edition of the second volume of The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha — a work considered the first modern and polyphonic novel, one of the masterpieces of literature — makes the new Albanian translation complete for the first time in 100 years.
