The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha (Volume I)

Very little remains to be said about Don Quixote. In this summit of universal literature, the first modern novel, Cervantes created the story of a village gentleman who, driven mad by reading too many chivalric romances, sets out as a true wandering knight with the good intention of helping those in need.

Thus, in the company of the earthy Sancho Panza and the unworldly Don Quixote, he becomes involved in a series of unbelievable adventures that make readers laugh, as the life Cervantes portrays is joyful, satirical and dramatic, and at once pleasant and optimistic, despite the hardships of existence.
