Picasso

Born in Málaga, Spain in 1881. His father, a drawing teacher, guided him through his first artistic steps. He became one of the most representative and influential figures of 20th-century art. Picasso's work is among the most original, and he was one of the most prolific and creative artists of all time (drawings, paintings, ceramics, sculpture, costume design, ballet, etc.). His artistic life passed through several phases: the blue period, the rose period and proto-Cubism, Cubism… Even today his works are shown in the world's leading museums, especially in the monographic museums in Paris, Barcelona and Málaga, as well as the Queen Sofía Museum in Madrid, where Guernica, a giant painting denouncing the horrors of war, is on display.
