Alphabet Book Set

The alphabet book set was prepared by a group of didactic specialists and linguists from Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia. It is based on the curricula of the Ministry of Education of these regions. The aim of the working group was to prepare as complete a package as possible, which will serve pupils in schools, as well as children who will use this package at home.

The package aims to make learning the Albanian language as entertaining, engaging and accessible as possible, harmonizing five basic processes: observing, listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The package contains:

• The basic textbook, Abetare, structured in three parts: Paraabetare, Abetare, Pasabetare;
• A patterned notebook, where pupils will write handwritten letters following the model;
• A worksheet, where pupils will practise learning letters, mainly printed, and some grammar knowledge;
• An illustrated dictionary (Albanian-English, Albanian-Italian, Albanian-German); the package includes one of these dictionaries. The aim is for the dictionaries to also serve children who live outside their country;
• A pocket of letters and syllables;
• A CD, which as an audio-visual tool helps pupils with listening and observing;
• A mosaic with poems for each letter;
• The book of ancestors (with poetry of the National Revival);
• A guide for teachers and parents.
