Onufri

Onufri, the most powerful and most important Albanian painter of medieval painting of the 16th century, is compared by our and foreign scholars with the greatest world painters of that time. The red color that stands out in most of his paintings and that apparently symbolizes the arduous struggle of Albanians for freedom immediately distinguishes him from other painters of his time, both in Albania and in the Balkans.
