Just joking…

Little Mario's parents have to go to a mathematicians' conference, or simply take time to figure out whether their marriage is coming to an end. So the child is left in the care of a grandfather he barely knows, an old, gruff and very hardworking illustrator who has lived in Milan for many years.

Within four walls and a balcony, over seventy-two hours, a subtle story unfolds: a witty, unsparing duel between a tired, bewildered grandfather and a cunning little rascal. In the game played between them, amid understanding, disagreements and not always pleasant games, life itself is reflected in all its forms: the life lived and the one just beginning, the harsh and mocking life of Naples, a house that seems to be slowly waking up, full of echoes and ghosts.
