Martin Camaj experienced the contrasts between the known and the foreign world, between north and south, between warmth and coldness, light and darkness, between what was whole and what was broken. The reader can read Martin Camaj's poems with a simplicity free of cerebralism. To read them as a landscape of words, wandering through this landscape of words and images along paths "not trodden by feet or hooves", listening to the silence, moving from peak to peak, traversing plains, mountain ranges, meadows, colors, shadows, sounds and the echoes of words, immersing oneself "under the shadow of things".
