The novel "Rabbit Is Rich" (1981) is a winner of the Pulitzer Prize (1982), the National Book Award (1982) and the National Book Critics Circle Award (1981).
The hero of "Rabbit, Run" (1960), ten years after the events of "Rabbit Redux" (1971), enjoys prosperity as general sales manager of the Toyota agency Springer in the town of Brewer, Pennsylvania. He has achieved everything: sex, marriage, fatherhood and a secure social status in America, the land of wonders, where a slow decay has begun to be felt.
It is 1979: an American satellite falls, the line of those supplied with oil only grows longer, and rising inflation coincides with a decline in national self-confidence. Nevertheless, Harry "Rabbit" Angstrom feels in excellent shape, ready to finally enjoy life, until his disobedient son Nelson returns from college and the image of an old love reappears to him...
New and old characters reappear in these middle-aged scenes of Rabbit, as he continues to chase, as he knows it, the rainbow of happiness.
