History of Shqipëria 1912-2000

For any historian who intends to write about a certain issue, it is essential first to establish what the preceding historiographical literature says about that issue.

From consulting a number of works that deal with the history of the period in question or particular aspects of it, published at different times, regardless of whether their authors' views were correct or mistaken, foreign or domestic, I have obtained data of interest that relate to the subject of this text. I express deep gratitude to the scholars, memoirists and reporters of the 1912-2000 period, because their valuable work served me in preparing this textbook.

This text aims to scientifically reconstruct an accurate and convincing picture of Albania in its economic, social, cultural and religious aspects for the period 1912-2000. Despite the achievements made in this direction, I am aware that the issues related to the history of Albania in this period could in no way be exhaustively addressed in full.
