Hasta la vista

The novel recounts events of the Spanish Civil War, where volunteers from many countries went, among them Albanians. They were united by one goal: to oppose fascism in its advances, which foreshadowed the Second World War.

Standing together on the war front, bloody clashes with the enemy, the pain of losing comrades, and conversations often with humor during and after battles united these sons of war into ONE.

With a dynamic narrative, not only the panorama of the war with the many emotional burdens of the characters is described almost in detail, but also the unique nature of Spain.

The love of the two main characters, Goran and Anita, makes this novel even more appealing. A connection difficult to imagine in all that war's meat grinder, yet it sends us a meaningful message about the continuity of life.

This is the author's first and most important novel for the time it was written, both artistically and thematically. This novel also marks a turning point in the historical currents of the Albanian novel.
