Anthology of Faik Konica

Faik Konica is among the few, perhaps the unique case in the history of Albanian literature and culture, whose work remains open even though his physical life has already ended. Although he began publishing more than one hundred years ago (1895), a complete and accurate assessment of his legacy has still not been achieved. It is a well-known fact that he wrote and published for several decades, in several languages and in several countries, in the last century and in ours. Faced with this broad and highly diverse panorama, his scholars have always encountered enigmas and surprises, some of the most curious kind. This has led them to take on a dual role, that of archaeologist and paleontologist: on the one hand to investigate and explore, to dig and discover, and on the other to reconstruct works and establish connections within the flow of his activity.
