Aleksandër Moisiu

I was born in 1879 in Trieste. My parents were Kostandin Moisiu from Kavaja and Amalia de Rada, of Arbëresh origin. From my youth onwards, my life was bound up with the magic of the stage, with the theatre and with cinema. I played the most outstanding roles in the world of theatre, right up to the last days of my life. Although I was born and lived outside Albania, the childhood I spent in Durrës remained unforgettable in my heart, along with an unfading love for everything Albanian.
